Pod unloading service
Here is how pod unloading service actually runs with us, written out before you call rather than explained on the day. A coordinator surveys the job, we put one price in writing, we protect the route and the piece, we photograph condition before the first lift, and we place everything where you want it.
What is included
- Collection from the home, or from the unit, at an agreed window
- Inventory list of what went in, so you know what is in there a year later
- Storage grade wrapping: blankets under shrink, never shrink on a finished surface
- Flat rate quoted in writing, nothing due up front
- Loading to a plan so the pieces you need first are at the front
- Placement into the unit, stacked and aisled rather than filled
What is not included
- The storage unit rental itself, which stays in your name
- Insurance on stored goods
- Climate control decisions, which are yours to make
- Electrical, plumbing, or gas work that requires a licensed trade
How to prepare
- Book the unit and confirm the size before the date, and send us the dimensions
- Check the facility access hours, since many close well before we would finish
- Decide what you will want early and tell us, so it loads last
- Do not store anything perishable, flammable, or battery powered
How we protect it
Storage is where furniture gets damaged slowly rather than suddenly. Everything is blanket wrapped before shrink so the wrap never touches a finished surface and never traps moisture against it. Upholstery goes in covers, mattresses in bags, glass and stone upright. Nothing heavy rests on anything with a finish, and nothing sits directly on a concrete floor.
Crews on this work have completed the Common Movers Certification, including the property protection and specialty handling modules. Read the curriculum.
pod unloading service, answered
How much does pod unloading service cost?
One flat rate, written down before anything moves. A coordinator reads the photos and the two ZIP codes, sizes the crew, and sends one number. Not a range and not an hourly meter. Nothing is due up front: you pay after you have walked the rooms with us.
What if the access is difficult?
Tell us before the day and send photos. Side gates, spiral staircases, low clearances and third floor walk ups are most of what we do. A coordinator will say honestly whether it can be done, and the quote reflects the real route rather than a guess.
Can you do it today?
Sometimes. We hold crews back for same day work. Call or text (877) 657-0555 rather than filling in the form, because a person can staff it faster than an inbox can.
What is not included with pod unloading service?
The storage unit rental itself, which stays in your name. Insurance on stored goods. Climate control decisions, which are yours to make.
