- Water, gas, or electrical connection, which needs a licensed trade

How to prepare
- Empty and defrost cold storage at least 24 hours ahead
- Shut off and disconnect water and gas before the day, or tell us so we schedule a trade
- Measure the opening and the doorway, counter depth units are tight both ways
- Clear the path from the kitchen to the truck
How we protect it
Protection goes down before anything is lifted: runners on the floor, jamb protectors on every door on the route, guards on corners and railings. The item is blanket wrapped, then shrink wrapped over the blanket so the wrap never touches a finished surface, then strapped to a dolly or skate sized for it. Appliances travel upright and strapped, with doors taped and hoses coiled inside so nothing swings. A fridge that has been laid down needs to stand before it runs, and we will tell you how long.
